CBT

CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is an approach that is incredibly helpful in supporting people to identify and change those unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress or mental health issues. The premise of CBT is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected.

Through CBT, your therapist will help you to work on altering the negative thought patterns and behaviors that maintain low mood and emotional distress. You and your therapist work closely together, setting specific goals, developing coping strategies, and challenging those distorted thinking patterns. You will find CBT to be a practical, goal-oriented approach, equipping you with the tools you need to effectively manage your symptoms of low mood, depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, trauma, grief and ultimately enhance your overall quality of life.
